Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Paradox Alpha platform ("Platform", "Service"), operated by Paradox Alpha ("Company", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to use cryptocurrency trading services in your jurisdiction. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet these requirements. You are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.

2. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  • One person may hold only one account unless explicitly authorized.

3. Platform Description

Paradox Alpha provides automated cryptocurrency trading tools, including but not limited to: portfolio construction bots, strategy backtesting, risk management features, and copy-trading functionality. The Platform connects to third-party exchanges (e.g., Binance) via user-provided API keys.

4. API Keys and Exchange Connections

  • You provide your own exchange API keys to enable live trading. We never hold custody of your funds.
  • API keys are encrypted at rest and transmitted securely. We do not store plaintext keys.
  • You are responsible for configuring appropriate API key permissions (e.g., trade-only, no withdrawal).
  • We strongly recommend using IP-restricted, trade-only API keys with no withdrawal permissions.
  • We are not liable for losses resulting from compromised API keys or misconfigured permissions.

5. Trading Risks

Cryptocurrency trading involves substantial risk of loss. Automated trading strategies, including those provided by the Platform, can result in partial or total loss of invested capital. Past performance, including backtest results, does not guarantee future results. Please review our Risk Disclosure for full details.

6. No Financial Advice

Nothing on the Platform constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. All strategies, templates, and performance metrics are provided for informational purposes only. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions and should consult qualified professionals before trading.

7. Paper Trading

Paper trading (simulated trading) uses real market data but does not involve real funds. Paper trading results may differ from live trading results due to slippage, liquidity, execution delays, and other market factors. Paper trading performance should not be relied upon as indicative of live trading results.

8. Copy Trading and Strategy Sharing

  • Strategy managers who share strategies or enable copy-trading do so at their own discretion.
  • Followers who copy-trade accept the associated risks, including potential losses.
  • Fee structures (management and performance fees) are set by strategy managers and disclosed at subscription time.
  • We do not endorse, recommend, or guarantee any strategy or strategy manager.
  • Past performance of any strategy or manager does not guarantee future results.

9. Fees and Payments

  • Paper trading is free. Live trading features may be subject to subscription fees.
  • Copy-trading fees (management and performance fees) are charged by strategy managers, not by us.
  • Exchange trading fees are charged by your exchange and are separate from Platform fees.
  • We reserve the right to modify our fee structure with 30 days' notice.

10. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or to violate applicable laws.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary algorithms.
  • Interfere with the Platform's operation or other users' access.
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or abuse promotions.
  • Use the Platform to conduct market manipulation or wash trading.
  • Resell or redistribute Platform access without authorization.

11. Intellectual Property

All Platform content, including strategies, algorithms, code, designs, and documentation, is owned by Paradox Alpha or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute Platform content except as expressly permitted.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paradox Alpha shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: loss of profits, loss of data, trading losses, or business interruption, regardless of the cause of action or the theory of liability.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

13. Disclaimers

  • The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free operation.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of market data, backtest results, or performance metrics.
  • We are not responsible for actions of third-party exchanges, including outages, API changes, or fund losses.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Paradox Alpha, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. You remain responsible for any obligations incurred before termination.

16. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
